The Vortex Viper HS LR- Rifle Scope Review

A rifle scope is tested at the range and proves its worth in the field. The Vortex Viper HS LR scope has the ability to reach out and touch the targets 1000 yards out at the range, and with that comes the confidence to harvest big game confidently across the West at all ethical distances.

The tough and durable 30mm tubes that the Viper scopes are built on stood the test of weather from hunting seasons past and ethical harvests were made with my rifle topped with this scope. The objective end has the option for a sun sleeve to make shooting on sunny days a breeze.

Vortex has four available combinations of power and reticle to suit the needs of a variety of hunters. The turret allows for precise bullet placement based on range finder reading and allows for a great experience at the range at distance. Finally, the 4x zoom feature makes viewing at distance an easy task, especially when paired with strong functional eye relief.

  1. I recently put the HS LR 4x16x50 on a Savage 11 6.5 Creedmoor, really liking the scope, crystal clear, great zoom and holds zero perfectly.

  2. If you purchase scope and red dot sight one at a time, this may want to time to set up on the rifle. On the alternative hand, you could need both at a identical time too! When you have rifle scope with purple dot at the top, you do no longer need to set your rifle on every occasion earlier than looking!
