New Layers from Prois!

The world of women’s apparel continues to grow as does the number of women actively participating in the world of hands-on conservation, which we all know as hunting. It is encouraging to see gear being made to the specifications of women who love the outdoors.

Here is a taste of some of the new layers from Prois (Gunnison, CO) in their new Veil® Cumbre™ camo pattern.

Callaid Vest

Well, ladies, if lightweight warmth and protection from the wind are what you’ve been seeking, check out the Callaid collection from Prois. This 800 fill-power down is made to be durable with its rip-stop fabric, and both the down and shell are treated with DWR to increase moisture resistance.

The Callaid vest also has an oversized chest pocket, zippered front hand pockets and two inner pockets, plus the down in the garment is prevented from bunching and collapsing to one end of the piece by a fabric treatment called cire’ (pronounced səˈrā) that waxes and heats the fabric.

Olann ½ Zip

This base layer is just as a base layer should be – the base to a good clothing system. The Olann ½ Zip is made with a longer torso, which helps it stay tucked in during the course of a hunt. The Olan also has thumbholes in the sleeves for added hand/wrist warmth and ease of layering over the top to keep sleeves from sliding up the user’s arms.

The Olann layers are made up of 96% merino wool for supreme thermoregulation and comfort in a very wide variety of conditions.

Torai Jacket

The Torai jacket is a technical piece of clothing made up of four-way stretch polyester (88%) and Spandex fabric (12%), allowing freedom of movement while also giving the wearer a windproof and water-resistant layer. The arms are lined with rip-stop fabric to make the process of wearing this jacket over other layers easier, and the jacket has articulated elbows.

Generous hand pockets and chest pockets, as well as zippers under the arms to manage a mobile hunter’s temperature to an optimal level in this athletic, while roomy, jacket from Prois.
