  1. Used the Delorme Inreach deal last year for a solo DIY week long Idaho back country hunt. Worked great for keeping in touch with family and friends. Won’t be going into the deep wilds in the future without some way to stay in contact….better safe than sorry.

  2. I have used SPOT for the past three years and have been happy with it. But last month I decided to upgrade to the Delorme Inreach due to its more reliable satellite connection capabilities. My wife and I just returned from a 10 day backpack trip into the River of No Return Wilderness in Idaho and were happy to have the ability to retain two-way communication with friends and family back home – something that my SPOT Gen-3 didn’t allow me to do.
