Oregon Wolf Attack!

By Todd Helms

An elk hunter in Oregon has killed one of the state’s reintroduced wolves in self defense. While hunting elk the man was approached by a large wolf even though he repeatedly spoke in an authoritative tone to the animal. At approximately 18 yards the man feared for his life and shot the wolf, killing it in its tracks.

The hunter self-reported and aided authorities in deciphering the scene. He and the case are now under investigation by the state.

It appears that when not properly held in check apex predators lack a healthy fear of mankind. . . Shocker!

My question is, what if he’d not had a rifle? My what big teeth you have!   https://www.rmef.org/elk-network/oregon-elk-hunter-shoots-wolf-in-self-defense/
