The New Mexico Department of Game & Fish has opened the Big Game Application process. For those of you who have previously applied for a Big Game License in NM, you would have gotten an email directly from the G&F stating that the draw was open and with a link. The link will take you directly to your customer login page.
For those of you who have not received an email or have not created a profile, go to www.wildlife.dgf.nm.gov
Once on the home page you will see the link to “Login / Buy License”. Once you click on that you will be directed to your customer login page where you can create a new profile/account or begin the application process.
Important dates to remember:
February 11, 2026 – Deadline to apply for Bear and Turkey Draw Permits
February 15, 2026 – Deadline to submit the 2025-2026 harvest reports for all big game, (only if you held a license to hunt in 2025-2026)
MARCH 18, 2026 – Deadline to apply for this coming year’s draw licenses for all big game species. You can also submit your harvest report and pay a late fee. Failure to submit your harvest report will result in an automatic rejection of your application for this coming year’s hunts.
April 22, 2026 is when the draw results are announced. Good luck in the draw this year!
