Utah Bull Elk Poached in Duchesne County

Utah Bull Elk Poached in Duchesne County

By Dan Pickar

Utah DWR is seeking information on a bull elk that was poached sometime around September 20th. The head was cut off, the backstraps and most of the hind quarters were taken and the rest was left to rot. The person also left trash and Havalon blades at the scene. The bull was killed in the Spring Hollow area south of Highway 191.

If anyone has any information on who did this please contact the DWR poaching hotline at 1-800-662-3337 or text 847411 or you can even submit a tip online and stay anonymous.

This is unacceptable behavior, let’s get this poacher who is stealing Utah’s wildlife caught!
