Arizona Applications Due & Changes To Be Aware Of

As of May 13, the Arizona Game and Fish Department has opened their draw system for applications for fall hunts. Applicants can choose to apply for up to 5 hunts for any of the following species: deer, bighorn sheep, fall turkey, fall bison, sandhill crane and youth javelina.

This year there are several changes or new opportunities for hunters to consider when developing their application strategy. Some of those changes include new draw-only archery deer permits, late-season rifle mule deer hunts and new broken-horn bighorn sheep hunts. In addition to the new hunts, be sure to check out revised permit numbers for all the top of the line hunts in Arizona, including changes to the number of tags for both the Kaibab and the Strip.

The deadline to apply is June 3rd.

As always, be sure to check out Eastmans’ TagHub for a full breakdown of Arizona’s deer and sheep hunts!
