That was a really great review. Honest, to the point, and no B.S.

  2. After reading this review I was really interested in checking out these boots and went to the closest Sportsman’s Warehouse in Lewiston, ID, to try them on. I even brought my best socks to make sure the fit would be perfect before plunking down my credit card. But when I asked the salesperson to show me the Zamberlain boots she just gave me a blank stare. That’s when I learned that very few SW stores actually have these boots in stock (it turns out that the closest one that did was in Missoula, MT). I spoke with the store asst. manager who told me that I needed to buy them from SW’s website and have them shipping to my house (or, if I wanted to get free shipping, buy them online and have the boots sent to the store).

I don’t know about you guys, but before I drop almost $400 on a pair of boots I at least want to try them on first! Granted, SW said that if the boots didn’t fit they’d refund my money (minus shipping), but that seems like a pretty big hassle; ordering, waiting for them to ship, going to store to try them on, and then processing a refund if they don’t fit … just so I can try them on.

Maybe I should just buy the Kenetreks (which they DID have in stock!).
